This is the cross of Spr William J Busbridge 4/168a of the 1st Field Coy New Zealand Engineers. He was killed in action during an hour long shelling of New Zealand positions by three Turkish guns on the evening of 23 June 1915. He was 20 years old.He is buried in Beach Cemetery but one can see from the bluff and other features behind that his original grave lay very close to Gnr Albert Masters' cross (Photo 32).
